- If you're dealing with a "Christian" company, check them out.
Many companies advertising as Christian debt consolidation companies
are not Christian at all. Don't be afraid to ask them if the
company is, indeed, a Christian company. Ask the person with
whom you are speaking if he/she is a believer in the Lord Jesus
Christ. If they say yes, ask them what church they attend. If
the person is not a believer, it doesn't necessarily mean the
company is not a Christian company (they might hire non-believers).
Ask to speak with the president or owner of the company, and
then ask them the same questions. You should be able to discern
whether or not it is a Christian company.
- Even if the their Web address (domain name) has Christian in
the title and the website says Christian on it, that STILL doesn't
mean anything. I've seen many cases where secular companies build
a "Christian" website to attract Christian customers.
- We're sad to say that Christian companies don't always have
the lowest prices or rates. This is true in many industries.
You might have to weigh the importance of dealing with a fellow
believer against the higher cost of doing business with them.
- Make sure you get all the costs in writing, before you sign,
and read them carefully. The less-reputable (non-Christian, hopefully)
companies often have hidden fees and expenses.
- You might be tempted to try some "get right quick" program
to bring in some more money. Don't do it. Most of them are a
scam, and even with the legitimate ones it's usually only
the people at the top of the organization who make any real money.

MLM (Multi Level Marketing) - Beware the "Get Rich Quick" Plan.
- A lot of preachers, many of whom are on television, would have
you believe that it's God's will for you to be rich and all you
have to do it ask for it AND, of course, send money to them as
the "first seed" or something to that effect. What
they preach is not biblical. They take verses out of context
and twist them around to give them meanings that were not intended
by God. Please do not listen to them and do not send them
any money. If you want to learn the true, bibilcal perspective
on money, then read a book by a credible, Bible-based author.
